PROJECT-BASED LEARNING AT BLOOM PUBLIC SCHOOL

We, at Bloom, are always striving to adopt innovative methods of teaching that actively engage students and equip them for the outside world. Taking learning beyond the boundaries of the curriculum, we have embarked on “Project-Based Learning” with a view to developing deeper content knowledge.

Project-Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate, research, collaborate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge prevalent in contemporary times.
The students develop various skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and effective presentation. One of the most important skills developed by the students is ‘Research’. The School provides Google chrome books to support the learning. Some of the core project areas are the environment, career development, sustainability, health, constitutional values, artificial Intelligence, etc.

Stages of PBL:
1. Identification of a problem/question
2. Sustained inquiry
3. Authenticity
4. Research
5. Student voice and choice
