Community engagement can lead to many benefits. For example, citizens become more willing to report crimes and cooperate with investigations; task forces gain new information that can help them develop investigative and prosecution strategies; new relationships can prevent misunderstandings about the focus on specific neighborhoods or groups; and gun crime prevention efforts can be strengthened by involving family members, clergy, and others who can be positive influences on youth and ex-offenders. In this project, students looked at all the safety impacts of community engagement. The students focused on factors that led to unsafe communities and provided solutions to the problem. The project covered concepts from various subjects such as Law, Social Students, Psychology etc.
