HANDS-ON SLINKY EXPERIMENT

Grade IX-A Students Explore Wave Speed with a Hands-On Slinky Experiment

Students of Grade IX-A at Bloom Public School delved into the fascinating world of physics by conducting a practical activity to calculate the speed of a wave using a slinky. This engaging hands-on experiment helped reinforce their understanding of the relationship between wave speed, frequency, and wavelength.

Working in small groups, the students created transverse and longitudinal waves on the slinky and observed the motion carefully. By measuring the time taken for the waves to travel a known distance and calculating the frequency, they were able to determine the wave speed using the formula Wave Speed = Frequency × Wavelength.

This practical activity not only deepened their conceptual understanding of wave mechanics but also nurtured their observational skills, teamwork, and scientific thinking. The experiment turned abstract textbook knowledge into a real and exciting learning experience.

Our budding scientists demonstrated curiosity, enthusiasm, and accuracy throughout the activity—making learning truly come alive!

    World Paper Bag Day

Class 2 Celebrates World Paper Bag Day with Creativity and a Green Message

On the occasion of World Paper Bag Day, the young learners of Class 2 at Bloom Public School took a wonderful step toward sustainability by participating in a Paper Bag Making activity using old newspapers. They enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to learn about eco-friendly practices in a fun and creative way. This hands-on experience encouraged them to think about the impact of their choices on the environment.

Guided by the values of reuse and recycling, each child crafted their own unique paper bag and beautifully decorated it using leaf printing—a delightful blend of creativity and nature.

The activity was met with excitement and enthusiasm, as every student actively participated and proudly showcased their imaginative designs. Through this hands-on experience, our eco-warriors not only discovered the joy of crafting but also learned a valuable lesson about the importance of reducing plastic use.

At the heart of the celebration was a powerful message: "Paper bags are a superhero's best friend!" Reusable, recyclable, and earth-friendly, these simple creations taught our children that small actions can make a big difference.

The initiative was a joyful reminder that the seeds of environmental consciousness are best sown early—and that our young learners are more than ready to lead the way!

      Van Mahotsav

Prep Students Celebrate Van Mahotsav with Joy and Green Deeds

The tiny tots of the Prep classes at Bloom Public School joyfully celebrated Van Mahotsav—the festival of trees—with great enthusiasm and love for nature. The celebration began with the little ones planting saplings, watering plants, and learning the importance of trees in our lives.

Adding a creative touch to the celebration, the children also made beautiful drawings and posters to spread awareness about saving trees and protecting our environment. Their vibrant artwork reflected their budding understanding of nature and their excitement to be part of this green initiative.

The activity instilled in them a sense of responsibility and care for the Earth. Through hands-on participation, our young learners took their first steps toward becoming environmentally conscious citizens.

With smiling faces and muddy hands, the day was a perfect blend of learning, creativity, and nature love!
