Student Exchange for Change program, 2013-2015

Exchange for Change is a unique program which strives and aims at bridging the gap between the young generations of India and Pakistan. It is called Exchange for Change students exchange program. Our school is proud to be a part of this Peace initiative program for the year 2013-2015. Students of VIII grade are taking part in this Exchange for Change .


The uniqueness of the program lies in the innovative activities spread During the 16-month exchange for change program, will be Letter exchanges, Charts, Posters etc. along with Visual and oral histories exchange with sharing of similarities and diversities, and finally culminating with the visit of select children of our school to Pakistan. This program has been initiated in India by a Non Profit Organization Routes 2 Roots with their partner NGO in Pakistan Citizens Archive of Pakistan. The program was launched in January 2014.

Student Exchange for Change program, 2013-2015” on 15th January 2014 at Hotel Grand, New Delhi, Vasant Kunj.

Letter Writing Phase

Students of our school exchanged letters with their friends in Pakistan .Letter writing gave an opportunity to introduce themselves and share their likes, dislikes, family, dreams etc. Children thoroughly enjoyed getting connected to students in Pakistan.

VISIT TO PAKISTAN HIGH COMMISSION

To strengthen Indo-Pak Bond, Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi invited participating students of EFC program. Students from our school also took part in this.

Photography series;-

Children are sending postcards and collages to children in Pakistan sharing pictures of their home, pet, neighborhood, school life, food, monuments, festivals, tradition & lifestyle etc. This activity will help children to know about the cultural heritage and its diversity and will also give a sense of realization in them about both the country’s diverse similarities.
